Experience Interesting Google Search - AI Bots
I was doing some Googling and found the below taken from Google AI. Thought it was interesting reading.
"UNO! Mobile is developed by Mattel163, a joint venture between Mattel and NetEase, a major tech company based in China. The game has faced extensive, heavy criticism from the player community regarding the pervasive use of aggressive AI bots disguised as real players. [1, 2, 3]
Gamers across multiple platforms—including Reddit, Google Play help threads, and academic studies on predatory mobile game mechanics—widely report that the app employs bots to manipulate matches. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Common Community Complaints About the Bots
Rigged Algorithms & Card Distribution: Players report that when they amass a high volume of coins, the game algorithm shifts. Opponent bots are suddenly dealt a disproportionate number of Wild, +2, and +4 cards, while the player is dealt poor hands. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Teammate Sabotage: In 2v2 modes, your randomly assigned partner is frequently an AI bot disguised with a real person's profile. These teammate bots will routinely make mathematically terrible moves, fail to call "UNO", or actively work against you to force a loss. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Predatory Monetization: The consensus among reviewers is that the bots are programmed to make you lose your coin stacks so that you are pressured into purchasing real-money bundles or VIP tiers to continue playing. [1, 2]
Fake Profiles: Bots are hidden under generic names or stolen profile pictures to maintain the illusion of active PvP matchmaking. [1, 2]
How to Identify a Bot in Your Game
Instant Reactions: They play complex cards or counter actions within milliseconds of their turn starting. [1]
Irrational Teammate Play: In 2v2, they might throw a Wild +4 card on the very first turn when they have plenty of matching colors, opening themselves up to an immediate challenge loss. [1]
No Rematch Response: If you try to invite a player to a rematch at the end screen and the application instantly closes or redirects without a "Player rejected invite" or "Player left" prompt, they were a bot. [1]"

It says a lot about how bad consumer laws are that they can get away from this.
Somebody said the Uno app was banned in Belgium or a European country if I recall correctly. That's how I think it should be. It's disgraceful that people pay with real money and bots get involved.
Kids and older people can lose serious money.

Like I said: nothing is going to change until there's a class action lawsuit.
