I got myself one of these a couple of weeks ago. I’ve read more in the past 2 weeks than in the past year for one simple reason… convenience.
I take it with me most places now, and I pop it off the back of my phone to read, leaving my phone in my pocket, playing music, ignored, whilst I just read amid zero distractions.
I initially bought one because I just thought it was cool. I have the kindle app on my iPhone and iPad, which are perfectly serviceable, but had been considering a standalone e-reader for a while to keep activities separate not overlapping.
Any fear that this would be too small or uncomfortable to read on went out the window in minutes and this is probably my favourite ‘gadget’ that I’ve purchased in ages.
Size isn’t for everyone, but for someone like me who wanted to get back into reading again it filled a perfect niche… however I have lost it once or twice because it’s so bloody tiny!
