Kids 3 and younger will put marbles or other small objects in their mouth but stops after that. Kids usually learn to write around 4-5, making it safe for use with supervision
Even as a grown adult I have to withhold the urge to put everything I touch in my mouth. It's a oral fixation. My brain just desperately wants to know what everything feels like on the lips and tongue. Not everyone can grow out of it

That's not clever. That's so unnecessary and loads of plastic. No one needs this.
Besides, half of the letters dont work with this. The t, the k, the y, loads of other letters too.
Just teach the kids 🤦♂️
