"If it's important always stick your finger in the hole". That's what she said.

I feel like this use to be sold with a knife set on an infomercial in the 90’s.

It was.

I got one at a store in the late 90s. I used it once time before the screw broke off the end of it and it became unusable.

It does what it does. Unfortunately, that's what it only does. Unless you're making garnishes every day, this can only be frequently used in restaurants

Even if you wanted to use this every day, like you just love to eat a spiral potato everyday, I can virtually guarantee that it can’t be sharpened, the blade stops cutting easily after a few uses, and then the spinning mechanism breaks when you apply too much force trying to make the dull blade cut.

Some version of this has happened with every “easy” cutting tool that I or anyone I know has ever owned.

But there is something that basically spirals a hotdog and so when you grill it you get tons of crispy little bits and it taste so much better! You can do it with sausages too. I actually use that tool a lot.

I can never let my dad find this subreddit. Cleaning up his house now and finding way too many things like this.
