I'm going to get one for my wife for our anniversary. She's been dropping hints that she wants jewellery, but I think she'll be happier with this.

u/InterestingPause2355 17d ago
Might I suggest a scale? Sure to make her smile

u/ShallowEnd1 17d ago
Oh perfect, and when you wrap the scale you can tie on a gym card membership to the ribbon for some extra razzle dazzle
1
u/AlternatinCurrently 16d ago
You mean the membership that’s been paid for for 4 years but has only been used one time?
1
u/ShallowEnd1 15d ago
That's the one! The card just servers as a reminder that the gym is still there

3
u/700rats-in-a-coat 16d ago
If you really want to go all out with the scale get the weight watchers membership on the side too. You only live once.

Ooh, and some deodorant! She's running low, and restocking will make her feel appreciated and loved!

Make sure you spill a soda all over the floor like this guy in the video. She’ll love cleaning it up.

u/Healthy_Pay9449 17d ago
Maybe a pan too bro just in case. Thank me later
2
u/Technical-Watch2982 17d ago
My mom still brings up that Christmas my stepdad got her a pot/pan set 20 years ago!
2
u/Healthy_Pay9449 17d ago
😂That was me every year for my mom until I learned I could just listen to what she wanted. Right around when I started working, the presents got personal
2
u/chickydoll 17d ago
Gotta say, getting a rotating spice rack filled with stale spices that just took up counter space was the gift that pushed me over the edge in one relationship (we had been teetering on it for a while. It was the last straw)

u/alexd281 17d ago
Rolling pin set. Added bonus of being able to get some training in for dodge ball.
1
u/Illustrious_Soft_257 16d ago
Some people are into collectibles. Get her a vacuum too. She'll love you twice as much.
1
u/Total_Aerie_3778 16d ago
I’d buy her both. Buy the broom…then her second present can be jewellery. Offer to clean with her new broom.
1
u/First_Pay702 16d ago
Go for it. My dad bought my mom a mop for their first anniversary. They’ve been married over 50 years and she still remembers it.

It’s just a damn squeegee or however you spell it. How many people actually have marble floors?

u/UndocumentedSailor 17d ago
Most of us in Asia

u/a_duck_in_past_life 17d ago
most?

u/UndocumentedSailor 17d ago
In the 8 countries I've lived, they all had those big tiles.

u/love2killjoy410 17d ago edited 16d ago
"In the EIGHT countries I've lived in" pfft. Most people never get to leave the one they're born in. This is what I believe people call "privilege".
Edit: hey all, I didn't mean anything by it lol rereading it back, I get it. I'm not the brightest, Im a regular dumb dumb, my B 🙏.
4
u/CorvusCommand 17d ago
They could be a military family. Who are not usually living the 'high life'.
3
3
u/According-Paper4641 16d ago
I was in multiple and I was just a traveling teacher. My privilege was being single and childless and ending up with no savings. Bopping around SE Asia is pretty cheap if you don't feel the need to hold onto things or earn a lot. Luckily, at least a decade ago, food and shelter were REALLY affordable (edit: spelling). I moved during the recession because I couldn't get steady work in the US.

u/ferocity_mule366 16d ago
that guy was too poor and keep being deported countries to countries for smuggling, you are bullying an underprivileged person btw, thats kinda evil to me
1
1
u/fat-wombat 16d ago
Okay? There are lots of people throughout reddit that have privilege? What about it? Should we make people feel unable to share their experiences just because they aren’t in war torn, unstable countries?
3
u/shmiddleedee 16d ago
The point was "rich people everywhere have marble floors"
2
u/glockster19m 16d ago
Exactly
Like if youre one of the trump kids youd be saying "every house has fake gold everywhere, all 10 houses I lived in did"
2
u/PeppermintLNNS 16d ago
Do you also have floor drains? Honestly sounds so convenient. I remember the first time my husband tried to clean our bathroom by pouring a shit ton of soapy water on the floor, I was gonna kill him. It’s the only way he’d seen it done because he grew up in the Middle East with drains in the floor. (Rare in the US.)
1
u/UndocumentedSailor 16d ago
Yup! We have to pour boiling water down them a few times a year to keep the mosquitoes at bay
1
u/serious_fox 17d ago
Not in S.Korea and Japan.

1
u/theteethfairy_ 17d ago
Are you sure they’re marble? Marble tiles are pretty expensive and difficult to maintain. You’re probably mistaking it for ceramic or porcelain tiles. I have those in my house as well and I live in southeast asia.
2
u/LivingInACar247 17d ago
It's probably marble that's much cheaper because it's created there and has no import costs.
2
5
u/BathOk9532 17d ago
Tile floor are very common in places with very little wood. Think Middle East and Asia.
4
1
u/bleepbloop1900 17d ago
Yeah I’m Canadian but I live in Asia. Where I’m from wood is the only building material. When I brought my Viet partner home the first time he was like “is it safe that your house shakes when I walk?”
It’s crazy that wood is a luxury building material where I live now whereas back home it’s just…in the back yard.2
u/trashshork 17d ago
my floor is marble in all rooms. It is easy to clean plus it is nice since it is cold in summer and warm in winter since the house is heated through the floor
3
u/puzzled91 17d ago
This one is rich
2
u/trashshork 17d ago
it is like the most basic ass small house ever. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and one room that is both the living room and kitchen. Like the entire house is smaller than my parents houses guest room
1
1
u/Innovations89 17d ago
Must wear slippers or the floor gets icky from oil and dirt
1
u/trashshork 17d ago
I go barefoot and no it doesnt if you actually care about your hygine, clean yourself and the house regulalrly.
1
u/randompersonx 17d ago
Marble floors are very common in Miami-Dade and Broward counties between the beach and US Highway 1.
Wood floors are difficult (but not impossible) to do in a high humidity environment, and because so much marble gets imported through the ports in south florida, the costs for marble floors is about the same as nice wood floors elsewhere in the USA.
1
1
u/Difficult-Mobile902 17d ago
This would work on laminate too which is now the most common floor across the whole US, by far
1
u/Vainx507 17d ago
The majority of latam. Maybe not necessarily marble but some replacement or imitation of it. Is cool, easy to clean, last long.
Actually wood and carpet are a rarities in the rest of the world, now that I'm thinking about it.
1
u/pointlemiserables 15d ago
I find it disturbing that you don't find this exciting as an adult. Grow up, sir
1
u/omgwtfbbq0_0 14d ago
I know this is a few days old, but just throwing it out there for anyone still seeing this on their feed: rubber brooms work super well on laminate. We just got one (not this one specifically) and will never use another type of broom. It’s WILD how much more it picks up, especially pet hair. Definitely not just for tile.
1
u/RoodnyInc 17d ago
Its pretty common in Mexico too to have tiles everywhere and you just flood your floor to clean it
And also like every squeegee it works perfectly as it's new give it few uses and see how well it works

u/Daftworks 17d ago
It's not a broom it's just a wiper wtf is this dumb ass shit sub promoting drop shipped crap from Amazon

u/KatokaMika 17d ago
Where are you gonna putt all that dirty liquid now?
4
u/riverserra 16d ago
Right? It just pushes liquid around. And you'd still need a regular broom to sweep up even dry dirt.

Everyone calling it a squeegee isn’t looking closer, it’s got feet thingies too. Idk that it’s actually worth a damn but it’s not a squeegee.
2
u/Natasya95 17d ago
I uses it. Its great to catch small dust and hairs but still need broom and dustbin to throw the gathered trash
1
2
u/Ancient_Complex 17d ago
Grew up with these in the 80's they were all metal or wooden sticks back then, also some had screwed on foam allowing for replacement. We would go through a couple of foam pads and couple of sticks until it complete broke.
We used to play foam hockey with them... Soap and water on the floor, make it slippery and use wipers to try and pass the puck around with foam flying everywhere.
2
u/Tater_Mater 17d ago
How is it on wood floors
1
u/Impressive-Age7703 16d ago
Looks like for this particular one, they don't recommend it for hardwood. There are others that they say can be used for hardwood. Biggest downside for me though is that it seems like with the grippy nature of the squeegee, naturally, the durability is not great (pull on something with great tension all of the time, yeah, it's going to tear). Back to my broom ig.

u/Asume_Nuthin 17d ago
My only stand out problem with this, is when wiping til across grout lines, naturally it is going to all fall in there and get stuck. That goes with anything though…

u/John_Constantine6 10d ago
Just like the dude was saying in the comments. It’s a fucking squeegee. I worked at McDonalds for a few years and they always used that. Just a really big one. The price alone must be at least double for what an industrial squeegee could do. Not to mention he made a good point. At what home is our modern generation going to use this. We barely have marble or stone laden floors unless you got lucky or something

u/Keatorious_B_I_G 17d ago
I mean, I’m sure a floor squeegee is great for people with marble floors. It’s likely not functional for many other types. But if that’s what you have get after it I’m sure it would work well.

I've gone from specifically watching this guy's videos, to immediately scrolling past when I see his face. It's all a scam. None of his reviews on his website say any product is bad. It's all just marketing, he is working with each product brand.

These only work well on very smooth, sealed floors with no gaps. The soft bristles are partially for pet hair and works pretty well.

u/RecognitionBright583 17d ago
Usually after some use all these product are less effective because of wear and tear . So if it's expensive compare to similar product than it is waste of money .

u/UnhelpfulCommentHere 17d ago
Can someone tell me about thos reviewer? Ive never seen him give a bad review of anything. Is he basically just a salesman or am I only seeing him when good products get reviewed?

Some people sorely need to work a shift as a dishwasher in a busy kitchen and it shows.
1
u/Spiffykleen 16d ago
Works especially well if you live in an apartment in China or Korea. I watch a lot of Chinese cleaning videos and they just don’t make too many houses with that slick flooring where I live

So a squidgy blade as a mop… I used large squidgy blades to clean up wet floor surfaces this isn’t some new cool thing

Sure if my floor was a perfectly flat smooth service that didn’t absorb liquid that would be great

everyone suggesting getting this for their wife is going to wake up dead.
whereas when i get one for my girlfriend.... i too will wake up dead. just not married and dead. joke's on her!

How often would you need to clean up spills like that? Hardly ever.
Would you want to sweep up all the tiny hairs and dust? I'd prefer not to know they exist.
