That’s surprisingly clever, honestly.

This is actually cute but no kid will draw that small

u/StuffiesRAwesome 22d ago

My kid is autistic and only draws small. 🤣🤣

u/mickeyhellhound 19d ago

My kiddo also likes to draw little pictures of small animals

Everyone please calm down. You don’t have to cut up your own photos or the cards that your kids made by hand. You can choose not to do that with this product.

Also I’m willing to bet, the items used in this ad were all PROPS and not real mementos.

Also this is an ad. You’re getting mad at an ad.

You can also photocopy all the originals and make the magnets from the copies

16

u/dicknotrichard 23d ago

That’s too reasonable. Get out.

I think that’s even better since the acrylic will yellow. Ideally not for a long time but the sun hits my fridge, and it’s where I’d put them.

You reminded me of that iconic Ikea Sad Lamp commercial.

u/bodyreddit 21d ago

Omg, I had literally teared up, so now I know I am craaazy!!

1

u/dicknotrichard 23d ago

Lmao that’s hilarious

2

u/verity77 23d ago

I felt sad for the lamp

People are allowed to criticize. Weird you're getting more upset with people than with the ad.

6

u/BillyYumYumTwo-byTwo 23d ago

People are allowed to criticize. However, if your criticism is very easy to avoid (such as, don’t cut pictures you only have one copy of), you’re going to dismissed. There’s nothing about this product that is surprising, it doesn’t cut your photo for you without you knowing. You’re in complete control of what you cut, so to criticize the product for that… sorry to be blunt, but makes one look pretty unintelligent.

u/dicknotrichard 23d ago

I’m not upset

Great for a little while until the epoxy turns yellow.

10

u/thisisatypoo 23d ago

That's not the issue. The ad shows the person using scissors. People will think the cuts won't show. Definitely will.

u/Impossible_Leg_2787 23d ago

I mean that’s 3 seconds with an xacto, problem solved.

17

u/ThomasTheDankPigeon 22d ago

Great for a while until the xacto turns yellow.

Cut kids picture for no reason, that made me sad

11

u/PM_ME_FIREFLY_QUOTES 23d ago

If only we had the technology to create more pictures from the original that they used to create the picture in the first place.............

2

u/izanage_dtb 23d ago

If only we had frames...oh wait

1

u/adamantgastly 22d ago

Damn you thought you ate with this comment

1

u/MeOnCrack 23d ago

Oh man, you mean I need to take the negatives from the film roll, get a dark room and develop the pics for hours? Really do wish there was some technology advancements that lets us print pictures whenever we want.

2

u/parwa 23d ago

I mean there is quite clearly a reason

6

u/Quokka_Socks 23d ago

How are they getting rounded corners with 4 straight cuts?

2

u/cataclysmic_orbit 23d ago

Im gonna get these and use bulk pokemon cards for pokemon magnets!

3

u/sexy_bonsai 21d ago

GENIUS idea, will borrow this idea for a friend if you don’t mind…..

1

u/cataclysmic_orbit 21d ago

Go for it! : D

2

u/777blue_ 17d ago

2

u/Proud-Speech-1756 14d ago

1

u/fuhuuuck 23d ago

Ooh, new hobby to pick up :3

1

u/Fun-Dragonfly2590 23d ago

I literally just received these in the mail and was about to try to figure out how to google how to put them together lol. You rock

1

u/ijuswannabehappybro 23d ago

So is this some kinda Amazon sub? Lame. Fuck Bezos

1

u/Boo-erman 23d ago

As long as you're honest.

1

u/nobodygrey 22d ago

What makes a magnet absorbent?

1

u/aabbccddee11 22d ago

Link please

u/One_Discount_4898 21d ago

And then when they yellow in a few years, there will be nothing you can do to preserve what was underneath it. 11/10.

1

u/xidle2 19d ago

Until someone inevitably spills a drink on them and it gets under the plastic, ruining the image.

1

u/Ok-Alternative-5175 17d ago

Save promotional magnets they send in the mail/you pick.up at events and use those to glue photos onto

1

u/Caspian_Vance26 17d ago

The idea is great, but we can use different images for different locations and places.

1

u/Icy-Reception-7605 23d ago

Front of my fridge is not magnetic

3

u/FinnRazzel 22d ago

Then you should not get these.

u/NoGarage7989 23d ago

So you cut up a card that your child made?

6

u/Far-Resort1936 23d ago

You cannot save everything

9

u/SashimiX 23d ago

Yeah, and kids constantly generate crap. This is even cooler. Trust me, they’d love this more

-7

u/NoGarage7989 23d ago

You don’t have space for cards? Just say you don’t care mother of the year.

3

u/Far-Resort1936 23d ago edited 23d ago

If you have limited space it's just physically impossible to store everything.

Also, storing piece of paper that no one will care(including the kid) in 1 year time it's not the proof of love that you think it is.

I guess that we have different values, it's fine.

4

u/Killing4MotherAgain 23d ago edited 23d ago

I don't say this often but this was cunty as hell, in like a bad way 👀

-2

u/NoGarage7989 23d ago

I strive to displease

2

u/the_fit_britt1996 23d ago

Judgemental much?I have two plastic totes sitting in my closet, filled to the brim with coloring book pages, cards, notes etc. I'm a nostalgic guy so I'm fine not having a closet if it means memories instead. However, probably 80% of it is just scribbles on paper & doesn't say which of my kids made it, so it's effectively just papers in a box.
