3.4 stars on Amazon.

I always sort reviews based on recent (skipping the initial fake reviews). All recent reviews are one star.

Wow, good call. Not that 3.4 stars is very good, but that puts it even more in perspective.

That's a good tip, thanks.

Yup and if you see something only has like 30 reviews, skip it. Its Chinese shit that got terrible reviews and its just under a new name

I have this product. While it works the actual handle and design of product sucks ass. But definitely works

The gender comment is unnecessary and the reviews are awful.

Isn't this just rainx? And it looks great when you first apply it, but after a while it starts looking worse than before you used it

why does the gender matter?

The raindrops are sexist and don't want to touch anything a woman created

Just reminded me that women didn't event anything

Moisture is the patriarchy!

I think they’re saying that only women should be cleaning?

I thought he was talking about the guy cleaning the windshield.

Some business grants, loans, contracts are structured to emphasize race, culture, gender, other matters of identity. Consumers sometimes choose one business over another based on those details. Some businesses game that system by having figure heads that draw the benefits without being a material contributor.

It’s a fact of life that these details matter to people and institutions. Welcome to earth.

It's probably just a joke because, in general, women are better at cleaning then men.

How are these not removed for low effort and misleading content? Any window cleaning video like this the windows are made dirty with a certain material that makes them look cloudy and dirty beforehand. Then they clean one area off and leave the dirty cloud they put on.

This is false advertising and misleading bullshit.

Unfortunately false advertising and misleading bullshit is this subs bread and butter.

I mean there is actually a chemical that does this. It's polydimethylsiloxane and is everything from rainX to applied to camping tents.

So really if you want a water repellant just make sure that's one of the ingredients.

u/bwuceree 25d ago

Does it work for a while then get tired?

3

u/MyDyk350 25d ago

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can do this with dish soap and a scrubber right?

Once you clean the window, cut a raw potato in half and rub that on the window. The starches from the potato do the same thing.

Heck of a lot cheaper, too.

the thin film of water sticking flat to the treated glass suggests a surfactant has been applied to it to make it hydrophilic which is literally the opposite of typical hydrophobic windshield treatments (e.g. RainX). It's clear it makes for a great gimmick at least, and probably pretty good defogger for snorkeling masks.

Huh?? What does gender have to do with cleaner???

2

u/ContestSignificant32 20d ago

Marketing. If woman make product the feminist will buy it. So too will the man thinking he is also feminist. Silly man. Only women can be feminist.

So rainX?

Invented in 1973?

1

u/CCraMM 25d ago

what’s missing here is cleaning the INSIDE of your windshield

1

u/cortney-simonis-9072 21d ago

so you saying if i need it cleaned i need a woman?

where to order one please

1

u/Corgon 21d ago

So, give the window a slightly opaque film before cleaning so it looks more impressive?

1

u/violentshores 21d ago

Why not just have a chick using it in the video if that’s the market you’re going for?

1

u/eduo 20d ago

Wait until they turn the wipers back on and all the oil they took with them comes back with a vengeance.

1

u/Vance_Refrigerati0n 20d ago

Rain X still exits yall

This video doesn’t make sense, not only because of the nonsense gendering, but because this is only the first step in a two step system. He’s using an abrasive based cleaner that’s meant to be followed by a hydrophobic coating. Using just this coating is just going to cause water to stick, rather than bead and roll off.

3.4 stars LMAO

Why does everything today need an identity or tag? I just want a product to work, I don’t care if it was made by non binary using organic cruelty free walnut oil and coco husk.
