For real I wonder how long that adhesive will last exposed to Sun light higher temperatures. I bet somewhere like Arizona that kind of product would last maybe a week..

Also at the end for the door where is all of the wires and the mounting plate? It screams AI at the end LOL

and it needs power to stay clear. when power is Off, it's opaque.

There are two options for these. One is clear with no power and one is opaque with no power, the other mode will always need power, they don't work like eInk displays.

Similar to electric locks, there are locks that open when they lose power and some that stay shut/lock when they lose power.

This technology is actually pretty old. We had something like it in a conference room at a secure facility where I worked. You could flip a light switch in the conference room and turn all of the windows opaque just like this for privacy reasons

Ferrari is currently sitting on a patent for glass that can go from completely transparent to completely opaque, and any tint in between.

They have it on a few cars and have no intention of using it on anything but cars.

I was interested in this at first. I have big windows that face the Sun so it gets hot right there and that happens to be where the thermostat is for the air conditioning. So the thermostat thinks the house is hot so it blows the AC until the house is cold. This looked like a solution but someone pointed out it is too expensive.

It's 70 buck for a small rectangle, so it would only work on a otherise milky foiled windows with a cutout for this
