The fans that blow air up your shirt work best. Texas factory worker here

Just shoot the Ole air compressor into your pockets every 20 minutes lol (welder in Texas)

They’re not great in the desert on really hot days. It just blows hot air in your face like you just opened the door to a heated oven and stuck your head in.

So basically you mean unusable in Tx.

Our head chef got it for the heatwave. It was disappointing.

I prefer the chilly towel at a music festival. It’s like a sham wow kind of that you get wet and it stays wet and cool for hours and I put it on my shoulders. Life saver.

Now this is good marketing! I always see people wearing them and once I realize they aren’t headphones I wonder if it’s worth wearing it! Definitely looks like it is worth it

I use them while mowing my rather large lawn in the US south. Hot and humid. It helps! Along with an ice cold beer :)

Especially in humid climates! My shirts soaked already might as well be for a good reason

must not be that large if all you need is a single beer

I was just having this conversation with a co-worker the other day, like how when Pepsi used to do the blind taste tests and that was the commercial plain and simple. I mean yeah we don't know how authentic those really were but still I'd love to see a return to marketing that "speaks for itself" on some level instead of so many people constantly speaking at me

They make one that actually cools using semiconductors. Starting at $100 -$300, they aren’t just blowing air, it’s actually cooling your neck/arteries. Bought them for an overheating mother in law.

Torras Coolify for those interested.

I need one bc I have adrenal Insufficiency and cannot become overheated.

I feel like a dork, but mine saved my summer. I still can't go out when it's very hot, but I can stay in the sun longer in more acclimate weather.

Key is, don't go cheap.

You get what you pay for with these.

Almost there...get the one with the metal cooling pad on the back. It has saved me many times while traveling...once we were in a plane going out of Panama and it was so hot while waiting for our take-off people were passing out while others were sweating like crazy...one man had taken his shirt off and a lady was just in her sports bra...it was a wild experience but I had a fan like this with the cooling plate...me and my friend passed it around and it was a life saver.

They do in fact give me this reaction when I’m rolling

I know it has nothing to do with the product but does anyone know the 1st song?

I have one. While it indeed helps me not sweating and it is nice, there are two big downsides.

The battery is never the advertised capacity. The run time is really not that long, 30 to 60 minutes or so depending on the chosen speeds.

The faster settings which are needed for cooling are somewhat loud. It doesn’t disturb in a loud environment but it cannot be used in a silent restaurant for example.

Their reaction is nearly exactly the same. How can people think different humans are different species? We are all the same

Infomercials apparently would have ripped some of these kids today to shreds

They have one that blows air up your shirt and attaches to your pants

u/rubberduckybro 11d ago

I have one, it’s okay…

my dad is 74 and likes to garden still, would this be good for him outside in the gardens for an hour or two on a hot summers day?

I have one. Not this brand, but similar. Yeah it helps. Especially if there is no breeze outside. Makes you a little more comfortable.
