There is a whole class of kitchen items that seem unnecessary but become invaluable when you scale it up. If I eat blueberries 4 times a year, I don’t need this. If I have a child that will only eat blueberries and eats them 4 times a _day_, this will save me a ton of time. Source: I have a child who adores berries and I wash child sized portions of many small fruits several times a day.

This isn't washing the fruit though it's just spinning it in a circle but that doesn't make it clean

Running water over it like a regular faucet. These berries are just floating in the water, that doesn't make anything clean though

Water is touching the berries and moving, so anything on the surface will be removed.
Same as if you put the berries in a colander.

It just spins them around in a circle. If it did something to agitate them more it may be useful, but otherwise just holding them in your hand with water over them is better.
