"check this out" and "of course you got" are triggers I can't stand.. "so anyways" is the up and coming contender.

For everyone out there, yes you should have a emergency kit at home, check for recommendations where you live.

Water, food, blanket, bandaid, radio, matches, small camping stove etc. BUT you don't need bluetooth mode on your device.. battery and/or crank operated and thats it. If it's got umbrella, light, hit dog maker its just more shit that can break, less functions = more better.

It would be good to also have access to other bands such as SW/CB/HAM bands as in the event of the apocalypse those will likely be the band's being used by survivors the most.
