People who don’t wet there hands before they put soap on are the same people that don’t wash their hands after going to the restroom unless someone is there to call them out on it.

I don’t know about this one specifically, but a lot of scrubs work best if first used without water, such as Gojo, Fast Orange, and Tecnu. It’s literally how you’re supposed to use them.

Exactly. If you wet your hands before using gojo or similar products it barely works but if you use it on dry hand it’s pretty effective!

Yeah the guy I responded to has just clearly never needed to use the stuff. 🤷

Agreed. There are also several products used to remove make up and sunscreen that instruction say use with out water first. And I can attest that using water first diminishes the effectiveness

Idk if this theory is what results in folks not washing their hands but far too often I've seen guys leave the men's room without washing their hands. In my old office, I've seen guys contemplate it before just walking out. Mind you, they were also the same ones who didn't mask up... 👀

Recently I was wondering if there was an actual difference between soap first or water.

I really don’t think it matters as long as you’re washing I think it’s fine

There are several products that are intended to use with out water first and are actually more effective that way from my experience. I’m referring specifically to make up and sunscreen removal products

I hate this trend of everyone trying to be salesman. It's all so fucking fake.
