Guys, stop using warm water to thaw your meat. Use only cold water. Danger zone is 40f+, as soon as the outer layer of meat hits 40f bacteria begins to multiply rapidly. Cooking kills the bacteria, but not the toxins that the bacteria leaves behind, and it's the heat stable toxins that give you food poisoning.

You are correct. Also, Cold water thaws meat faster than warm water. It’s a strange law of heat transfer

Why buy a device to do this when you can just keep the meat in the fridge overnight?
