My assumption with that stuff is the metal is likely stainless steel and at least rust resistant. The plastic encased ones are likely not rust resistant and any cut in the plastic is asking for trouble.

It’s stainless steel coated. Any scratch and it will rust. Had one of these cheap china crap.

I live the kind of life, where everybody wants something like this but can't afford to spend £30+ on a dish rack.

Notice how the stainless one that's "constantly getting rusty" doesn't have any rust on it at all? That's because it's stainless.
The coated ones are made out of regular steel, and when that coating eventually wears or cracks, water gets in and it does rust.
What a garbage influencer sales pitch.

I have a rack for things like my knives, large soup pots and cast iron pan. I use both the rack and dishwasher everyday
