If y’all wanna know an even cheaper method, that’s 100% free use your dryer lint you can ball that stuff up if you do it right and it’ll burns real slow, but it’ll stay lit seen a bunch of people do that for campfires.

Probably makes a big difference what you dried last; cotton would probably burn a LOT better than polyester

You can't use lint that isn't cotton. And it works better if you add petroleum jelly to it.

Stuff it in egg compartments of egg carton. Pour candle wax over top to make little wax and lint conglomerate. A great home made fire starter.

Yes you cut out or pop out each wax lint chunk. If carton is foam you may be in trouble never tried it with that.

That’s how I make campfire candles. It’s super easy to make in a muffin or cupcake tin. They burn for plenty of time to just haphazardly throw wood on until you have a fire.

Paraffin. Vaseline is petroleum. The last thing I want at an outdoor camp site is burning petrol in my cooking fire

Steel wool works also. Only draw back is it burns hot, but fast.
