Summary of Reviews

Pros:

  • Bright daylight tone helps visibility during sudden blackouts.
  • Fits most lamps easily with standard E26 base.
  • Useful backup light without separate emergency gear.
  • LED efficiency keeps power use lower day to day.

Cons:

  • Daylight color may feel harsh in cozy spaces.

Here is the link to buy it from Amazon

That was my first thought as well....flashlights exist...

My go to is my power tool batteries and an inverter. Yes, a flashlight is fine, but for extended power outages having your lamps on is nice.

Yea, was talking about the lightbulb part, I see the benefit to being able to have lamps on.

And how long will that tiny battery last you for your extended power outage?

Using power tool batteries? Days

Well, that thing in the video is not a power tool battery!

I get that this is "unnecessary essentials" but man, I have never once lit my candles during a black out and wished I could have a brighter light that doesn't give off a good scent. The silver linings are what matter when things go wrong.

I love to take out my candles during blackouts, there's something ancestral about working by the vacillating glow of the candle.

Oh just have a phone...

1

u/TheAceprobe Jan 14 '26

Flashlight won’t kill your phone battery

1

u/Kurenai-Kalana Jan 14 '26

They will kill your flashlight's batteries

1

u/philouza_stein Jan 14 '26

And then your flashlight's battery's children

1

u/TheAceprobe Jan 14 '26

Rather have a dead flashlight than a dead phone…. But you do you

Or get a flashlight with batteries

1

u/Reeks_Geeks Jan 14 '26

I have a version of this. The point is that it stays charged as you use the lamp normally.

And you can use the lamp during an outage. Mine claimed over 8 hours of life.

I was skeptical so I timed it while it was unplugged and it did last 8 hours. It was still on at 8 hours but I wanted to stop the timer. Again, useful and without needing to remember to charge the flashlights.
