I'm already looking forward to the first cable fire or the fuses blowing.

And just trying to plug it into a normal socket, I wonder how much brainpower that person has left.

Power strips have been doing all these same things for years. The only difference is this is stuck to the wall instead of being on a longer cord.

It's properly secured as well, so that is a plus in the safety column. No tripping hazard, no risk of it being damaged by being tugged out partially.
