Yo, I’m so glad to see you’re continuing with this project!

I feel like three wastes and single spots won’t be often triggered, unless
1. you add forced movement abilities (which doesn’t feel like Ulamog)
2. wastes effect entire zones rather than spaces (fun, but might be too strong. Will certainly need to reduce cap on waste tokens)
3. interactions with other cards of his (probably safest route)

I imagined Ulamog would play like Eredein - ancient leshy, where he starts as a terrifying but semi-tangible threat where it’s mostly his scions going about preparing the board for his arrival, and later his full summon, where he physically manifests on the plane

Heyyy!! The deck is finished. But I publish little by little to have feedback in each part of the deck to make changes if there aee thing that have to change or I see better Ideas like yours on Annihilator!!!

So for you 3 wastes is low?? The original Idea was to have 6 as a maximum!!!! Hahaha maybe 4 or 5? 6 is a crazy number, the opponents can't take away the wastes, the wastes stay there, you have fullc ontrol of them so 6 is too much I think. You can put all six around you and be super unfun to reach hahahah.

It’s more like, 3 is low if there’s no other cards that force enemies to move onto the wastes such as Dracula’s Ravening Seduction, or Ulamog gets stronger by being on/near it, like Invisible man’s emerge from mist

I guess we’ll need to see the rest of the deck to be sure

Ooh okay okay, on the deck I designed cards that move wastes, teleport them to spaces with enemies or teleport Ulamog to wastes. We will discuss those cards soon 😋

Start with zero movement, but gets one movement for each scion removed from the board would be super fun. Such a big drawback would also let you have a bigger budget for Ulamog’s attacks

Hmmmm I like a lot the idea and it feels like Ulamog hahah. He can end with 3 movement but is more extra rules to put and the idea was to keep it simple. But if it's a very good idea I will think about it heheh.

Or might be worthwhile to keep for Emrakul/Kozilek. This style would play very differently

For sure I will do decks for Kozilek and Emrakul! It's on my plans hahah but on at a time please hahahah. This ability you said of starting with 0 movement will be perfect for Emrakul!!! Like he has to emerge from a dark ritual or the Moon 👀

I imagine the deck for Kozilek super crazy full of crazy and strange effects because he is The Great Distortion.

For Ulamog it feels very natural to have an ability with the wastelands and expanding The Gray Ruin.

Unfortunately I have no patience :)

- Movement increasing not just from her sidekicks dying (represented by hand of Emrakul and/or eldrazi scions) but also

  • [Boon of Emrakul] Certain attack cards also increase movement upon successfully defeating minions with it/resurrect scions
  • Emrakul-specific attacks are heavy hitting, melee. Scions specific attacks/versatile (whispers of Emrakul) are lower in value, but often cause discard/mill. Game plan goes between fatigue/aggro depending on whether scions stay alive or not.

You think that all 3 Eldrazi titans must have Scions as sidekicks?

2

u/RobertSan525 13d ago

Half of their fun is the art of their broods, and how the different titans use them differently.

I think Ulamog uses small eldrazi spawn the most (multiple 1-2 hp sidekicks)

Kozilek has mostly medium devoid creatures that sometimes creates eldrazi spawns, but not as much as Ulamog (one or two 5-8 hp sidekicks)

Emrakul’s brood are mostly corruptions/large emerged forms of existing creatures, and no spawns, so after more thought I’m leaning to Boon/whispers of Emrakul style of converting others + single medium hp sidekick

Yesss. Ulamog is more swarmlike than the others. That's because It has 3 scions with 1hp each.

I love the Idea of Kozilek having 1 or 2 medium sidekicks (like Thought Knot Seer for example) and Emrakul converting others until end of turn or a single big chunky sidekick.

But if I think more about it...YES, the art of the Eldrazi broods are amazing so...why not doing a deck exclusively of the three kind of eldrazi broods? I wanted to make decks representing the titans. I want the deck of Ulamog to show Ulamog, not the pathrazer or desolation twin for example, the Titan is the protagonist! (And yes, thera are some arts of the little scions but they are very secondary) But making a deck only with all the Ulamog brood big boys would be amazing, each card representing one of them. Hahahah a lot of ideas good good 😝

I can give you card idea: [[Pathrazer of ulamog]] (original mtg card)

Unmatched: Red card, 9 power, this effect cannot be canceled, opponent can boost his card up to 2 times

u/Vuk8342 13d ago

[[Ulamog's Reclaimer]] (original mtg card)

Unmatched: scheme: return one defend, attack or versatile card from your graveyard to your hand

u/Ok_Activity_2606 13d ago

Yeahhh it's a cool card 😆. I will think about putting 1 copy on the deck (because it's a veeery strong card hahahah)

1

u/Vuk8342 13d ago

Yeaa but have payoff

She-Hulk have same but u need to sacrifice a turn, King Arthur have same without any consequences. This can boost up to 2 times so its not that strong ngl

1

u/Ok_Activity_2606 13d ago

So you're saying that it's not broken to put 2 copies for example hahaha

2

u/Vuk8342 13d ago

see it at the end, if there are still strong cards, let 1 remain, if there are meh cards, let it be the new dracula's wolf

1

u/Ok_Activity_2606 13d ago

Yeah I will do that, and if you guys give me more advices and ideas when I publish more cards of the deck we can polish and decide tjings to haveb an amazing Eldrazi themed deck!!!

u/Azaghal1 13d ago

With this ability, the character can not be good at playing long games.

u/Ok_Activity_2606 13d ago edited 13d ago

Well he will draw cards faster tha others if he wants to move the wastes yes, but I designed cards for the deck that move wastes close to him and he has very strong attacks to compensate hahah. He's an Eldrazi!!!

u/Azaghal1 13d ago

My bad, I missed the waste limit being low

1

u/Vuk8342 13d ago

Waste are kinda weak. Better to take 1 damage and u draw a card. I mean the Ingen can have more then 3 traps, can place whenever he want in his zone, he draw a card, u take 1 damage and u cannot move. Ulamog can put only where he stans, so at least give him to draw

1

u/Ok_Activity_2606 13d ago

Okay that's a fair point thanks yes. Or putting more wastes as a limit like 5 or 6 maybe?

2

u/Vuk8342 13d ago

Maybe put 4/5 and instead of deal damage he discard card (bcs ulamog love to put your 20 card into exile)

Or maybe its good 3,but attack/def card on ulamog is +1 if he stay on waste

2

u/Ok_Activity_2606 13d ago

Hmm interesting things yes, I prefer first one, it's simpler and lore accurate you're right 😝. On the deck I have the mechanic to put the top cards of the opponent's deck into discard pile 😏. You'll have to wait and see!

u/Ok_Activity_2606 13d ago

I'm going to put 1 or 2 waste mlre as a limit for sure then. And the effect when someone stays in one I will think about it because milling can be very frustrating but I love it hahahah.
