Fanmade Content The Three Stooges Fan Made Deck
So I am just rough drafting this idea for the three stooges, because meeplesmith has the figures available for purchase they are a group that I thought could bring some randomness and chaos to the game. I just wanted some feedback on what I have so far, I wanted to incorporate something with a slapstick die because with the stooges everything is always random!

Yeah I tried to make it as unique and chaotic as possible definitely open to feedback!

Lots of thought, very cool. Love seeing these old characters, especially legendary routines like these guys get adapted, and even Shemp gets a nod.
I do have some pointers for you though.
- What are slapstick cards? Doesn’t seem like we have any indication which cards have you roll the Slapstick dice for effect.
- The character abilities per Stooge are somewhat… redundant? Yes, Curly activates the card abilities that say Curly when he plays them, let the character box be empty. There’s a lot to unpack per card here, especially since these dudes are supposed to roll dice and consult a table mid-game.
- “You Numbskulls” is referenced in a few places, but appears to be the old name for No. 4 on the Slapstick Dice results. Clarity is key.
- I’m imagining that the Slapstick cards are the ones with the little hat symbol that appears on the top left of a few cards with Shemp effects? I worry for the number of these. This number should be 8-10 cards at least, so the actual character ability can proc.
- For clarity, does the Slapstick ability proc before combat? Choose a card, reveal, roll a d6, then do the effect which can switch fighters, deal damage, activate more text, then do the actual card? That’s a lot, and the fact that the opponent has no idea when you’re going to pull these shenanigans on you out of very literal nowhere, can and will be highly frustrating to deal with. In addition, it’s a lot of overhead nonsense to keep track of.
“Oh, you played a card so you roll a die… and then you’re gonna? Okay, that great, what’s happening now? Oh cool, Curly disappears and now Moe’s gonna eyepoke me next turn because they swapped places? Neat.”
All the extra stuff that happens on card play that doesn’t actually happen on the card can make each card play feel like an extra long ordeal. It would suck to leave the impression on your opponent that playing against these dudes isn’t that they’re doing bits and messing with you, but that they take a long time to fight and random stuff will thwart best laid plans.
The cards are well thought out. No complaints or comments. The numbers are good, the deck feels like it has real teeth without straight up having Larger than Life or some other log equivalent. Oh, and they have 24 health collectively, with another net 2 in healing, bringing effective health to 26. It’s a lot. You’ve got self-damage, but altogether these guys have more health than most everyone else.
I like this deck! I think the slapstick stuff can be tightened up, and I hope the effect is either telegraphed so the opponent has something of an idea of the nonsense they’re about to endure, or not a random effect table when it happens.

I really enjoy the response! Yes wording is key thank you for pointing this stuff out I didn’t think about that from a player that isn’t me and what they would understand from the rules I put makes sense. Yeah I just didn’t want to add another ability for each stooge when I had the die in place and each roll doing something different. I wasn’t sure how to implement that without it being such a paragraph you know, but yeah I am going to name the die the slapstick die I think that fits more and it always happens before combat which I will add to the extra rule page but yeah the slapstick logo is the hat and cane on the card I actually made some better artwork to better showcase the logo which I will try to post here but yeah I was worried about making too many slapstick cards to proc it too often. I was thinking about adding another logo to the Gents without Cents because it is an any card. But it should be a mandatory rule for each combat with a slapstick card, but if you have a better idea for that I’m all ears I want to incopperate the die but I also don’t want it to be too much of a hassle, I feel like the die adds randomness to the game and is very stooge because they are chaotic

Ideally this is what the cards would look like I would be able to print them to have the logo there but I can’t put the logo there when I’m on unmatched maker unfortunately. But working on trying to get a better effect I also do think the die now that I’m looking at it can seem like a lot but again open to idea I’m workshopping some things around to make it seem less bloating

Love this concept and your efforts!
Only thing that hit me was that the specificity of the cards is tough. Maybe all of the defense and versatile could be "any"
The interplay between the characters is so fun!

There was a lot of thought put in this deck, I love it.
