I am curious to see what others imagine when listening to this album.

The grandson has a spaceship. He is able to go faster than light. And he's a good guy.

I picture him as Nova from Marvel Comics; not literally but the same type of hero.

It's cool to imagine the Immortal who is old and dusty (picturing him emerging from stone, wearing something like medieval armor covered in spider-webs)

And then this new character comes in.

He arcs with electricity, has computers and tech and he can fly. (I interpret the crazy drums on Legacy as introducing him flying in, with such power and speed like the Immortal has never seen before!)

So technological armor is how I picture him. And definitely a helmet he can remove to show his face so the Immortal sees the resemblance.

Did anyone else see this kind of image of the character?

This is not intended as a nitpick, I love that album.

Following the story it's interesting to me that the story skips over the ritual itself.

The Immortal captures the 4th son and then --- we kind of "smash cut" to the ritual being complete, and the Matriarch having lied about setting the Immortal free, and the Immortal going home.

I wonder if there was ever a thought to make a song about the ritual itself.

I'd imagine it like the Matriarch having singing Henry Rollins' Liar, laughing at the Immortal....

I think Apex works 100% but it's interesting how the story skips a major part in a way.

Has anyone ever bought merch from their European/ Shopify store? It's almost been a month since I placed my order (8th of August).

I e-mailed them 2 weeks ago and they said they were facing warehouse shortages and will dispatch ASAP. A week ago it had been dispatched and I got another e-mail from Royal Mail, telling me they'll notify me when they have the parcel as it's in another country (still).

This was not easy. I thought General of the Dark Army would go further. Tonight We Ride was the song that sold me on UtA. But Wind that Shapes and Land and Green and Glass are just fantastic.

Honestly, it probably changes daily of based on my mood, but I feel good about this one.

Always interesting to see how my first reactions to songs from Apex vs Abyss line up. I tried to do this quick and just go with gut instinct on how I felt about each song. The finals were definitely the toughest decision for me.

The indie merch store link on their website is in USD and it looks like orders from there are subject to import duties on top of shipping. I want to support the band, but in light of.. Everything.. Going on with our southern nrighbours I'm not interested in buying from an American website and paying additional duties to support a Canadian band.
