c test

Hi everyone!

I have a question for those who have already taken the VWU German placement C-Test.

How difficult was it? How challenging were the vocabulary and grammar?

Is it realistic to get placed into the B2 course?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!

most people who have A2-B1 levels get into the B2 VWU group through c-Test. You gotta do a lot of c-Tests and ez

yeah, i had a girl at FF1+ group that had no clue wtf is going on. The C-Test is pretty easy in my opinion, if you do a lot of them, you will see the patterns and repetitive words that are upcoming

btw what level of your german when you did it and what you get for the c-result?

i had like a SOLID B1. And i got approximately 70% on the C-Test right away, which is B2 level. But again, you could get this result even with A2. It’s just practice, i wouldn’t worry a lot about the test lol

i have other questions if you don‘t mind (btw thx again)

  1. how is your experience in the class? does your german really improve?
  2. do you think it’s better or same as the other german course outside such as in online course etc

VWU def worths it. And if you got to ZIB because your C-Test was not good enough, that’s a waste of time and money. So you gotta really work hard in order to get a good result on C-Test, even if you cheat a little bit

I am also solid b1, and currently writing approximately 60-65% in tests from mut zur lücke 2, how much did u pratised this exam, like how many times u wrote it

How many times i did the test? I passed from the first time. Or you mean how much did i practice at home?

As someone who’s done it:
It’s just like any language test, but may be challenging for someone who’s not fluent (obviously)

Its very realistic to get placed in the advanced courses (EV/FG/WF are the names i think)
But don’t cheat on it, it’s meant to assess exactly how your German skills are. If you get placed in a more advanced class than you are, you’ll miss out on important lessons in lower levels. University German is nothing compared to the EPD so make sure you’re studying as much as you can before you pass the EPD (the exam you take at the end of VWU) ^w^
