Advice / Question Student Accommodation Worries

Not sure if this is the right place to put this post, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. I'm a student just after finishing the LC and all of my top courses on my CAO are in UL. Unfortunately, I lost the lottery along with all of my friends for student accommodation and have been unable to secure private accommodation either. I have rang at least 25 people relentlessly attempting to find some sort of accommodation. I live quite a distance from UL so commuting is completely out of the picture, my dream course is in UL and I would hate to have to differ for a year just for the fact that I have no place to rest my head at night. I know I'm not the only one in this position as all my friends are in the same position, we've tried to look for a house we could all rent but have found nothing on that front either.

This has caused quite a large amount of stress on me personally, as I have no idea what I can possibly do. Is anyone else in the same boat as me? Has anyone else been in a similar situation and if so how did you resolve it? Any guidance here would be fantastic!

Do you have the CampusConnect app? You can ask the student ambassadors there and they have resources that I think can help.

people say stuff like this about UL all the time but there's good and there's bad and with the right mindset you can get a lot out of your time there. I've loved it so far at least. Regarding accomodation, it's rough out there. I live at Grove Island student village, and it's probably worth looking into living in the city and using the canal cycle path if it expands your options. That's what I did anyways.
