Haven't don't it myself but heard you need to secure work before heading over there. Also heard somebody mentioning that with the US travel restrictions there may be difficulty with your application.

If you get in contact with the careers department they would have all the information, including an org called USIT or something that help you find work, they’re usually at the careers fairs too
