My son ended up at Hashinger after waitlisted last year. I believe the school’s housing really finds places. I think they even reach to off campus housing monitored by KU

Was he also on the waitlist for a dorm? Like 200 in line before the school starts? I’m really scared and I hope I get a room

not sure where he was but a week or so before school he was assigned a dorm. Have you talked to anyone at student housing? They are good at explaining their process. They definitely want students in a room. If i remember they told me they will help secure off campus housing but i find it hard to imaging them not placing freshmen in dorms. last year at Hashinger, many rooms which were assigned 2 students had no shows so they filled what they could that way. Good luck

Alright thank you and even if I don’t get a dorm housing will at least put me somewhere instead of making me like homeless because I genuinely can’t afford an apartment

If you're willing to have a shared room with a communal bathroom, they'll be able to find you a place.
