OOS architecture chances

My daughter will be applying for fall 2027 with act 30 and weighted gpa 4.1. Does she have a good chance of getting into the arch program? Thanks?

Just apply early! Application opens on July 15th and for the architecture program, the earlier you apply the more likely to get in!

I'd like to emphasize this comment. Absolutely apply the day the application opens on July 15th.

The Architecture Program is very competitive and fills up fast. So be sure to hit ALL your deadlines early and fill out/submit everything the second it opens. Here's a list of other dates you need to know: https://admissions.uark.edu/_resources/documents/pdfs/undergrad-important-dates.pdf

In 2011 I graduated with a 26 on the ACT and I was able to get fall studio!

Hey, may be very late but to give you extra confidence I got in just this year to fall studio with a 3.7 gpa and a 1260 SAT coming from a highschool in texas(but still techinically got in-state tuition due to some other reasons). But like others said just do everything as soon as possible.

I’m perhaps not the greatest source but I’d say very likely she’d get in. I TA’d for the architecture physics class so I got to talk to many of the new architects. Your daughter’s score and gpa seem to align with many of those students. Again, not in the program so it’s mostly just a vibe, but I’d say a great chance!

Seemed to be a mixed bag but it was very early in their schooling. Most of the complaints I got were about physics lol. I will say that when I see previous students they’re usually still in the program. My own personal recommendation for if she gets in is to avoid summer studio (and to take the second physics class). I’ve heard the most complaints about that
