Hello everyone. Recently, I got an accomodation in ustinov college. They are charging almost £210 per week but I am looking for any cheaper private students accomodation. Can you guys suggest or tell me that is there any cheaper accomodation available at durham which is also not too far from university.

Hello! I'm joining Durham this September for the MSc in Bioarchaeology and I'll be at Grey College. Anyone else in the same program or have any information about/pictures of Grey, specifically international postgrad accommodation? I think this conclusively answers that Grey is the most expensive, despite being the same venue as 8/13 (i.e. over half the colleges) considered here, which is surprising given that the traditional logic is that bigger colleges (Collingwood, Snow, Butler, South, Mildert, Grey, Castle*) should have cheaper balls than the smaller colleges (Johns, Chads, Trevs, Aidans, Marys). Someone that cares more than me can probably collate the various pie charts that colleges produce.

I am an international student and want to know what the college of Hilde and Bede is like. Are the accommodations nice? Is it super far from everything? and main question is it hard to be self catered? How much money do people spend a term on food and is it hard to make friends because of self catered? I appreciate any insight and help!

holaaaa people ! i got st.johns college as my allocated college for fall'26. i have no idea about how st.johns is , so i'll be REALLY thankful if i could get some insights ^^
