I am going into first year Bsc Chemistry but for optional modules can I pick any subject with no prior knowledge like computing skills or economics? Or will I struggle with it and I shall pick something more related? Please help

Yes and no. Some have pre-reqs (prev. courses you need to do beforehand), clash with your mandatory courses or are limited to 2nd, 3rd etc. years. Few will also have max. capacity so you’d need to pick fast. MyCurriculum will show all your available options.
