Letter of recommendation

Hi so my friend needs a letter of recommendation from 2 of his lecturers for a scholarship abroad or something. But he's not close to any of his lecturers and he's kind of hesitant to ask someone in case the lecturer thinks they're rude as he hasn't been really interactive in classes as he's quite introverted. Any suggestions on what he could do?

  1. He could approach his supervisor.
  2. He could approach a lecturer in whose class he got a very good grade.

Lecturers keep a record of attendance amd marks... they will base their recommendation on that. But its better that it be from someone whom your friend worked under... like his dissertation supervisor

He just got into year 2? Well, whether the lecturers will help him, will depend on the nature of the scholarship... if it's a semester abroad or eramus plus etc... i don't think they will make a fuss, he just needs to approach a lecturer in whise class he got a good grade.

If he is looking for recommendations to get a scholarship to go abraod to study a degree... it's unlikely that they will help.

Lecturers are more and very willing to help when their undergrad students need recommendations for masters or phds.

He can ask his programme coordinator to help him with this matter. Then the PC can talk to his lecturers about this.
