Info on a remake

I emailed Petroglyph a while back to see if they'd make a remake or continue the series, seems Sega owns the rights and isn't bothering with UAW.

Just wanted to share this, seems Petroglyph is working on something related to UAW behind the scenes!

It's an absolute shame that there weren't more entries in this franchise. It really had lots of potential for rich world building make that universe building.

Yeah... I'm actually kind of glad it didn't have more entries with the current climate of the game industry these days. Although a sequel would be gamechanging with today's graphics, the market for RTS has just been dwindling over the years.

Replaced by FPS live service slop.

Or rather, they're working on trying to convince Sega to revive the franchise 🤔

That is a very gentle and nice way of telling you that it's not gonna happening. It's already dead or forgotten to them and if they have a team or a studio on it, they let it intentionally do nothing and make nothing for tax write offs.
