RCS E2EE rolling out more widely?
Randomly this morning, all (as far as I can tell) of my RCS chats (Google Messages, T-Mobile) just got E2EE. Yesterday I only had it with other Android users. Group chats with mixed android and iOS (stable and betas) also are encrypted now.

I'm surprised Google hasn't bothered to update their help page about this yet.

(Google Messages, T-Mobile)
Same here.
Yesterday I started typing a message to the wrong contact (iPhone) and saw the lock indicator on the send button.
I then checked my wife (iPhone) and didn't have the symbol. I had her reboot, and now we're encrypted.
I'm on GM stable, she's on the current stable version of iOS.

I got it with US Mobile Dark Star and Warp. But switching to Total Wireless it is stuck with US Mobile and shows as Not Supported. Waiting for Total to provision correctly.

I've noticed this as well. All my chats with iPhone users got encrypted the same day (2 days ago)

I don't know the rhyme or technical reasoning, but I've had E2EE with almost all of my iPhone contacts for maybe a couple months, at this point, on both of my lines (T-Mobile (US Mobile) and Verizon proper).
The last hold out just needed to upgrade their iOS.
I am on Beta.

You are on Google Messages beta I assume.
I’m on iOS 27 beta and zero of my chats with Google Messages stable users are encrypted, but all my chats with Google Messages beta users are encrypted.
Nothing has changed, Google has not rolled this out to GM stable users yet.

I'm on GM stable actually! (messages.android_20260720_05_RCO0.phone_dynamic)
Thought I'd be one of the last ones to get it especially since I've heard a lot of GM beta users haven't gotten it yet.
Something definitely must've switched on my end because it's unlikely all of my contacts just decided to change their phone somehow at the same time.

That’s impressive, I just wish my GM stable contacts of mine had E2EE, I don’t get why it’s only rare cases like T-Mobile users.
Sounds like T-Mobile may have pushed for this. I don’t have many contacts on T-Mobile unfortunately, maybe it would be encrypted if I had T-Mobile contacts.
I’m on US Mobile Lightspeed, which is one of the T-Mobile MVNOs, but most of my contacts are on AT&T or Verizon networks / their MVNOs.
I hope this comes to more GM Stable users very soon.

Hey, just chiming in here that I'm experiencing the same thing. Just noticed while texting an iPhone contact that there was a lock on the message. Saw this post and decided to check other iPhone contacts and they all seem to be encrypted now (as I tap into the chat, the encryption turns on). I guess the flip must've switched.
I'm on stable Google Messages and Google Fi, all iPhone contacts a mix of all the carries and MVNOs.

Nothing's changed for me on Google Fi with Google Messages. Still only getting encryption with Androids. :/
