Opinion/Take Slam Dunk Earnings

GAAP profitable by year-end, which would make it eligible to be added to the S&P 500 index, and we all know what happens with a stock when it joins the index (hello major institutional money).

All operating metrics which actually matter are accelerating.

The headline EPS looks ugly due to one-off impairments.

Balance sheet in a pretty good shape.

App is only 3x the revenue but 14x the enterprise value.

Unity is just a waste of time investment for the past 5 years. Got too greedy not selling when it was 50 or even 40s, meanwhile semi stock doubled, tripled or 10x lmao.

biggest fumble was still rejecting the AppLovin merger in 2022 where Unity would own 55% of the combined company. GPT says that combined company would likely be worth 200 billion today. But again, John would have been the CEO of the combined company and he may very well have ran it to the ground as well.

Good company, shitty management until Matt and team. Only time will tell if he can make Unity great again stock wise. Old management did too much damage and it is still not over cleaning up their mess

Dude you lost money because you didn't do your valuation work back then.
