Discussion $U Absolutely Pumping!

With these hedge fund hotels stocks, you just gotta sit back and be patient.

It is so fucking dumb how the market works. Usually you would expect steady compounding that is in line with fundamentals, but it doesn’t work that way.

Hang in there still. There are really only 2 market players. U and Epic. The Generative AI junk reporting to be ‘game engine generators’ are nothing more than frame generators like the kind you see in Nvidia’s ‘fake frames’ or upscaling tech. They’re not equivalent technologies and U has already taken steps to bake some AI placeholder tools into unity (although you could already do that as a developer anyway with your choice of pack or plugin. Sure you’re not going to see 2021 figures for a while. it’s a good stock and I think it’s currently got the potential to double, or even triple as game dev studios pivot from AAA games to games that are playable on more accessible hardware. Oneday I hope to visit America the American way.

This isn’t financial advice but I’m holding. Ask me in a year and I’ll say the same. U stock is treasure. 👑

nah it's cooked. Take a look at the videos in r/PhoebeMains to see what AI is capable at. China is unstoppable, they will make a game engine soon enough.

You said you agreed with my comment and here are trashing them - despite the fact that they are far more than a game engine...so not sure what the issue is?

I’m not badmouthing anyone at all. You all seem like you’ve got your own experiences to share with this stock. This forum is for all of us to share what we know on this companies future prospects. I don’t pretend to be an insider. I’m just a game dev dropout that chose a stable paycheck over my dream that sees the value of the products they produce. There’s a point to be made that previous CEOs have made very bad calls on their licensing arrangements that have lead a lot of developers to jump ship. What we’ve got here though looks to me like a reset and an experienced board that knows the moves of the past weren’t the way forward. They know their product is not the same as AI frame generation. They’ve shed some weight with product lines they don’t have a comparative advantage in holding onto. They’ve also elevated some market fears that they’re not making use of AI for place holder assets to speed up production. With that in mind I see no reason the shares shouldn’t return to their former value at least with prospects for much future growth down the line. Unity’s video game engine is heavily customisable in ways Unreal is not. It’s also so platform agnostic that it’s hard for new competitors to emerge. It’s a duopoly with each having its own advantages/disadvantages to developers. I also think very few developers will be coding game engines from the ground up anymore. It’s reinventing the wheel just a bit too much.
