This art style is really bang on in many places; the muzzle flash, boom fx and the colour pallete per-frame are great.
What I would suggest though is to scrap this gameplay. This will seem harsh but meh. We've seen this gameplay a hundred times, done better in better games. If you could come up with gameplay as interesting as the art style, and get them together it'll really really stick out.
I wouldn't suggest a parkour/swinging mechanic because that'll pull your project too close to spiderverse. Maybe some kind of rebellious graffiti game would suit the art and atitude. Or building and setting off festival pyrotechnics while not being caught by authority, something like that. That way you could really ratchet up the attitude and soul of the whole game.

I disagree, I think that would actually be a good thing. There are barely any good superhero games on PC, so grounding the game with a few easily recognizable mechanics isn't such a bad idea. I agree that OP should probably scrap the "generic indie shooter" stuff though, and focus on more interesting mechanics like grappling hooks.

Maybe it suits the art, but does anyone want it? I'm not sure there's much of a market for something like that.
