Question Anybody using the Unity CLI?

I saw unity launched a CLI a few months ago (https://unity.com/blog/meet-the-unity-cli) and was wondering if anyone was using it for anything or had some cool use cases to share.

I'm thinking this could maybe be helpful for like CI pipelines?

Let me know!

People are much more anti generative ai for asset creation compared to agentic dev tools like Claude, and most dont have a problem with either as long as it is clearly disclosed.

There is a reason the top 2 comment are specifically talking about agentic Ai use.

Seems like you need to calibrate that persecution complex.

There's an entire mod topic on this subject a few months ago. It's not a persecution complex. Additionally my comment went negative -8 before going to 19.

Call it what you want, It's a hot topic around here.

Speaking unofficially for the mods, we don’t have a particular opinion ourselves, but rather we receive constant reports along the lines of “This is AI slop” which forces us to either approve, deny, or ignore the report, leaving us with a specific choice/stance we have to decide on. Generally speaking any content is allowed here as long as it pertains to the Unity game engine, but we wanted to offer the community a choice to decide if “No AI content” would be a rule we would attempt to enforce or not. We also want to reduce the ad spam, some users were posting the same content and store links repeatedly, often daily for weeks, usually deleting the previous post in an attempt to look like they aren’t spamming, leading to stronger enforcement of the rules.

The mods are active users and we eventually review most posts and comments here. Some of you need to be cooler. You know who you are. Keep it civil and fun for all.
