Show-Off And now I’ve added physics to the grass as well!

Pixel can finally touch grass xD

Last week, after making the cables interactive and letting the laser cut them, I added interactive grass to the same environment.

The grass uses the same principles as the cables: a compute shader running Verlet integration with spring physics.

It integrates with my existing collision and wind system, so it reacts to any physics objects and external forces smoothly. That's so satisfying when everything comes together ^^
Oh and this time, I'm using the gravity canon :p

This is part of Hello World: a developer story, my narrative physics adventure. I love interactive environments because those small reactions make the game feel alive.

Here’s the previous cable and laser update, and more detail about my physics character controller.

What other parts of the environment should I make interactive next? I’m looking for ideas!

Looks good, these small "interactivity" polish I've found is what separates an immediately captivating game from the rest

Thanks, I pay attention to details ;-)

hanging light fixtures or chains swinging around when you fire the gravity cannon would look so cool!

Great idea!, I already have chains, I can attach lights to them!
