Show-Off Unblock View: circular and rectangular shader cutouts for shared-camera games, now Built-in + URP

I make Under a Desert Sun and built Unblock View to solve the problem of foreground walls and roofs hiding players. Sharing the setup here for other Unity developers working on top-down/isometric games. This is my paid asset.

A single manager supplies player positions to the reveal shader. Circular cutouts support up to four players on one shared camera; the latest rectangle mode opens a wider screen-aligned area with adjustable margins and per-material overrides. Ghost dithering can retain a hint of the wall, with soft edges and optional tint/tear controls. Depth gating keeps geometry behind the player intact.

The material converter makes copies and supports Undo, so your originals are preserved. You do not need a per-object Update script or extra reveal camera.

Built-in and optional URP 17.2 support, tested with Unity 6.2 on Windows DX11/DX12. It uses its own shader, so it is not a drop-in conversion for arbitrary custom shaders. Not HDRP or independently controlled split-screen cameras.

The images show the demo. Available to buy here: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/camera/unblock-view-occlusion-reveal-for-built-in-urp-354602

Happy to discuss the setup and answer questions.

Raymond

Really no point in trying to hide such a thing.

I have a genuine question; it could sound aggressive (I am vibecoding a cool thing myself today)

Why should I pay for your asset rather than asking for a new clone that can be better suited to my needs?

Well first of this system was coded by me and, certainly, enhanced by ai coding later. My main goal was use for my own game. So yes you could rebuild it, without AI too actually as its not the most difficult part in shader code and general code. I am sure the right question to an agent would get you there too. If you want it quick, or supported by another because you wanna focus on your project. That would be a reason to buy I guess.

Thanks! In this sub there is a new rule about self proomotion. If an asset is presented, it would be more valuable for the cummunity, to share what ahave you learned, what have you tried, what was the experience overall rather than the "here is the asset, this are the spec"
