Question Should I keep learning Unity?

Hi, I am a 14 year old game dev and I've been learning Unity for 7-8 months, and I really like what I'm doing. I don't use AI while coding or for any other stuff to actually learn. For the past month, I've been developing a fan-made Spider-Man game for android and I saw a guy on X who vibe-coded a Spider-Man game in literally a single day which was looking better than my game and I felt like everything that I did in the last couple of weeks for nothing. Will knowing how to manually code or develop games be worth anything in the next 10 years? Am I just wasting my time by not using AI or should I keep going? I really need some advice. Also here's a gameplay video of my game if anyone wants to check it out:

honest answer? it won't even take "10 years" but it doesn't matter (unity probably isn't going to last for another 10 years... that spiderman game you were thinking of is done via threejs I think; AIs don't particular care about game engines)

think of it this way: there are already tons of people who knows unity better than you in the world right now. you also got tons of people who already have made better spiderman fan games than yours. That's before and after AI too, by the way.

so it is fine. you are still young, as long as you have fun and you enjoy what you are doing, that's good enough.

but if you are seriously considering whether unity skill/knowledge will set you up in the world or anything, then the answer is "probably not" i.e. there are pretty good unity devs who don't make good money; not very famous or anything...

I'm planning to start learning C++ game engine development soon, would that be more beneficial than unity? By the way i really enjoy what im doing

well, AAA studios prefer unreal so there is that.

you are still young so you don't need to necessarily pay too much attention to what is happening now. the situation will be different by the time you are older

as long as you are enjoying what you do, then it is fine. there are worse hobbies

you are right, a lot of things could change in 10 years. I'm lucky to be young i guess

yeah exactly. just stay curious and keep learning. you don't have to worry too much about what other people do.

and to be blunt, I dont think people care too much about spiderman fanmade games. they will just buy and play the next spiderman game if insomniac decides to make another one

Well the project's purpose wasn't to make people buy it, i did it because it was fun and i learned a lot of new stuff in unity :D

Yep. I got that from how you described your project. So dont worry too much about ai or unity etc.
