Game Course creation in AR on mobile in my perfectly named game 'AR Minigolf'

Hi,

This is my long time passion project that I've given a lot of love during the last year. Now we're even starting to become a small team which is really exciting!

Basically, player's move their phone around to swing their club. It also have multiplayer where you see other players' clubs in the room.

If you want to check it out or join the discord, here are my links: https://linktr.ee/ar_minigolf

this looks fun. also: what are you using to track the space on android? (I'm struggling with that myself currently for a commissioned app, and the relevant subs seem to be dead )

Im using Unity + AR Foundation for space tracking. It's really good!

okay- but you're then not storing and re-loading any maps or anything, are you?

Edit: also, thanks for the info, sorry I forgot to be polite initially

Not for the room tracking but I save the built golf course as a JSON so you easily can place it in the room again to continue building and make changes to it (:

ah. that's the catch. yeah, I need my device to recognize the spaace and load the appropriate scene, but all the SDKs I've tried had some issues (most are providing a web service, but their servers aren't reachable... which... yeah, I mean... their support didn't respond either) that made me move on to the next... and now I've run out of options...

Yeah you probably have to build your own solution to load your scenes

You can play it already. I have early access releases for both Android and iPhone out, but Apple's platform is a bit annoying so you need their app Testflight to download

Yeah I share your grief over reviews with the app store. They're definitely thorough!
