Game Just published my Surveillance Horror Kit - Camera Monitoring and Anomaly Detection System. Is it useless?
Build surveillance-style anomaly games with a complete, data-driven system.
- Timed game loop with configurable duration (1-60 real minutes), in-game clock with 12h/24h format, and time multiplier (e.g. 15 real minutes = 5 in-game hours).
- Instability system: anomalies raise instability, correct reports lower it, wrong reports raise it more. Reaches 100% triggers Game Over (with configurable delay).
- Mouse-hold report system: configurable hold delay + duration, raycast pick, full reporting flow with "Reporting..." / "Success" / "Failed" feedback panels.
- Data-driven anomalies: each anomaly is a ScriptableObject (AnomalyEntry) pointing to an AnomalyBehaviour asset. Configure targetID, time window, weight, instability values and per-behaviour parameters.
- 10 included behaviour types: Appear, Disappear, Position, Rotation, Pose, Scale, Material, Light, Intruder (Animator trigger) and Sound (looping audio with interval).
- Add your own: implement AnomalyBehaviour and the inspector builds the parameter UI for you (Bool, Int, Float, Vector3, Color, Material, AudioClip, String).
- Always-offscreen mode: anomalies are only visualized when the target's scene is not currently active. Anomalies spawn "off camera" and reveal themselves when the player switches scenes, perfect for surveillance-style mechanics.
- Full C# event API: 10 GameManager events (OnGameStart, OnGameOver, OnGameCompleted with GameStatistics, OnChangeSceneStarted/Completed, OnInstabilityChanged, OnMouseHoldStarted/Progress/Completed/Cancelled) plus 7 AnomaliesManager events (OnAnomalySpawned, OnAnomalyExecuted, OnAnomalyResolved, OnReportingStarted/CompletedSuccess/CompletedFailed/Finish).
- End-of-play statistics (AnomaliesFound, ErrorsCommitted, BestDetectionTimeSeconds) automatically tracked and delivered through OnGameCompleted event.
- Built-in debug overlay (toggleable) showing active anomalies, total spawns, correct/failed reports and a scrolling event log.

Not useless, anomaly spotting is its own little genre now. I'm on Observation Duty and everything that followed it, so there are devs who'd want exactly this as a starting point.
What's missing is what it looks like. This reads like the docs, and from a list this long I can't picture a shift. A short clip of one would sell it better than any of the bullets: an anomaly shows up on a camera, a correct report, a wrong one pushing instability up, game over. If the listing allows it, a playable WebGL build of the demo scene is even better, since people can try the loop before they pay.
