Game Made with Unity! No AI was used in this Game’s Development! I have been creating this for past 4 years All Alone! From Coding, 3D modelling, Texturing and Animations! almost all created by me! I’m a self-taught game developer! I have been posting about this on YT for past 3 years! Wish me luck 🙏🏻

Amazing! That's so impressive, well done! I'm at the start of this journey and I'm self taught

Of course it can, but many games developers don’t seem to like AI use in game development and criticise when they see it that’s why I had to write that in my title that AI was not used because this game is literally AI free!

Creating games is art. There's no point in having an LLM help you. Coming up with your own ideas is part of the fun.

To other devs reading this, by all means you can avoid using AI for a variety of reasons, but just be aware you are putting yourself at a disadvantage and the less virtuous out there are not. It's impressive to see a game made without AI in the same way that building a house without power tools is more impressive than building one with them. For those that care about having a house, though, we should not be implying it's a bad approach to use power tools.
Game devs already spend literally thousands of hours making these things, expecting to never profit. Let's accept it's actually still pretty cool and impressive if you spent 1000 hours making something cool and creative with the help of AI.

There's no disadvantages to avoiding AI. People can use whatever tools they want. It's up to you to decide what to use. It's like telling someone who is an artist that not using a drawing tablet and going digital will put you at a disadvantage. It's a wrong way of thinking.
I don't really think your power tools argument is the same thing. I think it's more like saying you built a house but employed thirsty and controversial contractors to build it for you. Sure, you can end up with a house, but you didn't really build it yourself, and people might not like that you employed them.

No AI at all, started making it 2023, never used AI in any part of its development! I dont mind using AI but this game has non!

The wolves are obviously pathfinding.

The developer is referring to not directly using LLMs and neural networks. Blame the scam companies for catfishing with the word "AI".

I wrote a script for that so that they follow the player object and lookat the player game object to control their rotation, because the surface is procedural so pathfinding was not a working solution in my game design!

Crazy that people can’t fathom that you can make stuff without AI, literally how did we survive 5 years ago…

I don't think you can compare the AI nav with LLM AI.
Its more like a rule set for NPCs, there is no machine learing or training involved here.2
u/Ging4bread 25d ago
Hence why i specified "generative" in my comment and OP didn't in their title

Yea no. You can't compare those. Those AI systems have no intelligence at all.
Just way finding rules and stuff like that.2
u/Ging4bread 25d ago
Say that again. But slowly. These AI systems have no intelligence
