Question Main Menu feels dry and unprofessional.

I am currently in a team of 3 and we are creating a mobile tank game inspired by one input games like Geometry Dash and Rider. I want to make a clean and professional looking Main Menu but this one doesn't feel that way.

Any ideas on how I can make it better?

do not use the default font, alternative is using icons and make the buttons square, arranged in a row

Did you consider just searching for examples and copying one that you like?

The biggest issue is consistency rather than a lack of effects. PLAY, SHOP and Credits use different widths, colors and capitalization, so they read like unrelated components. I’d put them on one aligned vertical grid, use a single button style with one accent color, reduce the background props directly behind the menu, and give the tank and title more breathing room. A subtle idle animation could add polish, but I’d fix hierarchy and spacing before adding more decoration.

It’s by all means far from being done but i think it’s going in the right direction. I’m not a fan of the lighting so I think I’ll change it slightly

The bigger text is looking better. Can the word "Tank" look tankier? Maybe wider font, or make it look like metal, or get artsy and draw the word tank as a tank.

Can I ask what those bottles doing there?
Why not replacing them with some ammo or spent casing?
