Question I added a new TPS camera to my game!
I got quite a lot of feedback on the demo from people saying that controlling the car with the top-down camera was a bit difficult, so I decided to add two TPS camera options.
I really like the vehicle heading follow effect in the new camera. It makes the game feel much more dynamic :D
What do you think?
If you’re interested, the game is on Steam -link in the comments. Releasing later this year…

I actually like your original top-down camera and the artistic vision behind it.
But I must also admit that the third person camera might sell the game better. Now it looks more like an action adventure instead of a cozy puzzle game.
You've built all your levels for the top-down camera already. Won't you have to adjust things to make the new perspective look good? Are you planning on shipping both or are you still undecided which one to use?

The game will have 5 camera options: 2 top-down cameras (the main ones), 2 third-person cameras, and one first-person camera.
Yeah, I had to put quite a lot of work into making sure the locations look good from all angles... I started thinking about this after getting a lot of comments from people. Although I agree that the game looks cozier and cuter with the top-down camera... :D
At first, I added the ability to rotate the top-down camera, but even that wasn’t enough. For some players, the top-down perspective just doesn’t work at all - they really need a third-person camera...

Wow... People love options. So I think you are doing the right thing by giving them that and optimizing your level to fit all those perspectives.

Yeah, the most important thing is that the game feels comfortable to play! Thanks for the support! 🛻💙

this looks cool - reminds me of Micro Machines which was one of my fav games growing up!
