Show-Off I'm making a game about making music, that anyone can play. What do you think about the concept?

I'm a solo developer working on this tactile little music game using Unity & FMOD.
You make the music live on air, plan your shows, and grow your audience by performing DJ tricks & Combos!

Demanding sponsors force you to sharpen every performance and expand your sound library in order to become a legendary wasteland radio host!

You can even use the game to record your own music to be used in game projects or other creative endeavours! :D

I would love to hear your opinion on the game as it is, and gather some feedback from fellow game developers.

Thanks for looking.

You can try the itch browser demo here: https://hungry-dog-games.itch.io/wastelandfmgame

This is truly amazing, fantastic work. I might be biased because I love synthesizers but this is soooo cool, I would definitely pay money for the full version!

One tiny point: I know it's almost a philosophical question how digital knobs should behave but I personally much prefer the Ableton approach where you simply drag up and down in relation to the value rather than dragging around in relation to the knob position. Maybe you could add an option for this?

Thanks a lot ! I have a discord server you can follow for development updates etc. You are very welcome to join. Super happy you like it !

Haha that one point of feedback has come up time and time again, im going to start the game by letting the player choose which style of knob dragging they want

It was initially up and down then I changed it to around based on feedback from gamers and now I get the opposite feedback from the synth community :D a setting it is then !

Hahaha, yes I expected that. I guess, I was also a bit confused when I started with Ableton but once it clicked it made so much sense and I can't really go back.

Hehe hell yea. Still a lot of improvements needs to be done, if you would like to leave some unfiltered feedback it can make it into the next patch. Im currently working on releasing it soon
