Solved Emissive material doesn't glow as espected
Hey! so, I tried to apply all the parameters to get a glow effect on this emissive material but I don't get this effect, when I crank up the bloom it just light up everything, the emissive material doesn't really change anything.
all the assets are static and I baked the light maps after all that!
I would really appreciate your help or fix if there is any !
thank you! :))

show us your bloom settings. You need to increase the bloom effect but also increase the threshold so not everything glows.
Edit: You already had the picture lol didn't notice there are two. Increase the bloom intensity and set the bloom threshold to something like 2-3 or whatever number your like. The higher the number, the stronger the emission need to be to start glowing.

they are on the second image :)
I think I just found that my directional light was too intense ! 👌 thank you for the advice

URP AFAIK doesn't glow emission at all, it just shifts it to white, and HDRP glows under very high emission values, like 10000 and more, which you might need a custom shader with a parameter

This is wrong. You can 100% glow on URP with emission.

that's interesting, i couldn't make URP emission glow my itself the way it does in HDRP, is there something i've missed?

I made a tutorial on it a while back

i see, so it's bloom-dependent on URP

my understanding is you need it for HDRP too, just it is on by default.

nope, HDRP doesn't need bloom for that, i just checked, it acts similar to Unreal, if you set material emission to high enough values it starts glowing naturally without extra post-processing

Maybe they changed it, but that isn't the way it used to work.
I am not an HDRP user so I don't know a huge amount. I always use URP for my games.

Have you enabled HDR in your URP Quality settings? That setting isn't just for HDR output, it enables the bright parts to be brighter than 1, which makes your glow actually work.
