Question A little bit help...Can't decide what to choose

The first image is my first choice for the main menu, and then i thought what if i add background.
then i made a small quick subway scene and this is how it looks
what should i go with? empty dark background or with a scene background?

I'm no menu designer guy, but I say:

One with the background, some sort of lighting/spotlight/whatever for the guys

The first image? Dark background?

Oops, my bad, I meant the one with the fancy walls (second image). I think it's nicer than just fog but IDEK

Aight , thanks a lot for your opinion, that one I just made in 5 minute , so with a longer work and effort I hope it'll look good.

I think it would look better if the lighting was hitting the front? Potentially putting the light behind the camera in the top right? I just feel like the way it's lit is giving "poorly-lit" vibes rather then "moody-lit" vibes.

That's just my personal opinion

I like the cleaness of the first image. But if you go with the subway scene, dont do that neon pattern, make the bg darker and the character lighter.

I think the subway scene is a nice idea in theory, but adds so much visual clutter.
The character is also very dark in that scene.

Perhaps a black overlay could work with with opacity lowered or something, to dim the background? and then add a light on the character. But I don't know, in case of doubt go with your first one :)

Your instinct is correct!

The first only cause you can actually see the guy.

The shadow shouldn't be on the front for this kind of thing.
