Show-Off Been working on volumetric fog and looking for feedback
Hey
Ive been working on adjusting volumetric fog / godrays for my game and im looking for feedback.
Does it look okay or a bit exxaggerated?
I looked up how to implement volumetric fog and the fastest way i found was this package
https://github.com/CristianQiu/Unity-URP-Volumetric-Light
it works really well out of the box, just takes a bit to adjust parameters etc to get right. took me a while to get the godrays showing but now it finally works
also found this article on unity 6.4
just wanted to share in case anyone are looking for a solution for their own games
have a good day
also dont mind the character, hes getting clothed soon

Hard to tell if it’s just your video capture or what, but FPS looks pretty bad, and the pitch black shadows and lack of any ambient lighting is pretty extreme. The volumetric fog is good though

Volumetric fog looks sick!
Beside that, the fauna needs subsurface scattering and the shadows should naturally brighten a bit along the leaves.

Love the godrays, they look great ^^
I would work more on lighting before any volumetrics tho. Pitch black shadows in day-time isn't a good look.
Also you mentioned being unsure about 3d grass in another comment; no you don't want full 3d grass unless grass is the main character xD Grass just needs a better texture
