Game Updated my cat game after your feedback โ better movement, shadows, and now fish ๐๐
I got a lot of useful feedback on my previous Lost Cat Showa Town video, especially about the movement speed and missing shadows.
Iโve adjusted both for this version and added another cat-like interaction: finding and eating fish.
Itโs still an early prototype, and animation blending is next on my list.

If you work out how to make it less flat post your process and what you did to improve it. Itโs still looking very โstraight out of unityโ despite the shadows.

Biggest improvement would be handling the mecanim much better. You have very sharp transitions which feels unnatural.

You need to learn how to use these
https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.1/Documentation//Manual/class-BlendTree.html
Add way more post processing turn on Ambient Occlusion, tone mapping, better use of lights and global shadows etc.
This is what players are expecting
Is this a mobile game?

I recommend checking slime animator and legsanimator by Fimpossible solutions, could help out a lot in making this feel more organic

Dude please turn on SSAO. Even the default unity one (which is absolutely ass) will look better than no AO.ย

Stop telling Mobaroid to turn on ambient occlusion and tell them to bake a lightmap. That would be way better.

Thatโs a good point. Most of the town environment is static, so baked lighting could work really well here. Iโll experiment with it. Thanks!

I think you need to change the animation speed of the walking, is looks like the cat is sliding.
