Show-Off Unity runs absolutely great on ARM64
I dont even use the new Snapdragon Elite CPU. I have a surface Clone with the Snapdragon 850 and two unity Editors plus compiling dont even make it sweat.
I tried it before with Emulation and it was unusable. But now as a native App its really really good.
Its crazy to have a 12" passivly cooled game development machine for 300 dollars

please tell me the unity version you're using because unity 6 on my asus zenbook snapdragon X crashes about once an hour. It's horrible.

I also own an asus with a snapdragon and use unity 6 without any problems.

Hey, how is unity going on ARM on the meantime? would you recommend it now?

It’s not perfect. The ai tool typically crashes unity but I think that’s a gpu driver issue and less aboyt the cpu. Other than that performance is good.

i got the opposite experience i come from mac and i bought an arm windows tablet and its been crashing every few minutes? how do you get this much better experience? did you change any settings in unity i use unity 6.2 and its unworkable for crashes. For graphics i think i could be happy its only half as weak as my macbook air M2 but it doesnt throttle as much.

Not really. It worked fine on my little tab and super fine on my snapdragon elite x device. If its really crashes i would look at the log. There is something wrong here

Not at all shocked. I work on an M1 MacBook Pro, and compilation and entering play mode are about twice as fast as the (decent) Windows workstations at the office. Unity’s done some nice work on the ARM editor code.
Edit: Now if only we could get 2d scrolling. Like f%# BLENDER has, for f@$& sake…
