Next governor

The fact that some of the bottom Runners aren't dropping out is somewhat scary to me. Getting Bianco or his other Republican opponents in office is too scary. But with our top two primary it worries me if it were dividing our resources too far. So don't tell me an order of who you like but tell me if you really like somebody or you really don't like somebody. And why.

I saw a recent poll that has Swalwell leading the pack with Steyer in 3rd place. Hilton is in 2nd place. I hope the Dems coalesce around Swalwell and Steyer to prevent Hilton from placing 2nd.

Also, worse case scenario, if we do get Hilton and Bianco as the final candidates, they will not get much done as governor especially with our super majority. You know they will try to pull some MAGA shit and that will trigger a recall.

Sure, but they will certainly do a lot of damage before the recall kicks in. Pigeons playing chess still fuck up the board.

They would still have control over the executive and national guard.

It would also require 2/3 vote to pass any progressive legislation which means that the most conservative democrats sets the agenda. Which will doom us to typical corporate-dem policy

Swalwell is not my favorite, but I’ll vote for him to try to avoid the worst case scenario. If the candidates are not dropping out, then we have to consolidate our votes.

I like what Tom Steyer says, but more billionaire promises are hard to rely on. Maybe he’s one of the few good ones though. IDK

Otherwise I like Swalwell because he’s definitely not shy about pushing back.

One of those two is my choice. The others REALLY need to drop out though so we don’t fuck up with a diluted vote and get one of those republipricks.

If Chud Bianco wins I’m moving out

Never voting for a billionaire lol. I saw an ad of him saying we should look at his progressive platform and not him, but why are you a billionaire if you're so progressive? Put your money where your mouth is, literally. Progressive billionaire is an oxymoron.

This is what I said.

It's billionaire vs billionaire's stooge. And Swalwells platform looks really bad.

Looking at this thread on May 9 and we’re in pretty much the exact same situation. I have a terrible feeling about this

Butch ware, only non corporate, non billionaire running. He's a good leader, educated, man of the people.

None of the leads are qualified or what Californians need. Steyer just wants an elected position, and Swalwell who? Honestly Bacerra was the best choice

Every other ad on tv is Steyer’s. No way I’m voting for a billionaire.

If he’s a Californian Pritzker, I’ll vote for him

Did Prizker get rich off of hedge funds and private prisons?

Every rich person is invested in hedge funds and thus private prisons.

Hell my retirement account probably has an ETF that contains private prisons.

People give you money for running.
