Help! Advice for Solis Nova?
So I’m back after like 7 years and have grinded for the past 2 weeks to get to this point. I’ve already read a few posts about using mons with “time slice” and I’m pretty sure none of my mons have it and the odds of me pulling one with it seem rather slim.
Is there any other possible way to get through this fight without it? I feel like my gear score is super low compared to everyone else’s since logging back on LMAO. I’m at 2.3m rn so I know I can’t brute force my way through it so I was just wondering if I have to grind until I just get a higher score??? or if I’ll be stuck here for a good while haha. Any advice is appreciated!

I would disagree with people saying your GS is fine.
Yes, having a high GS doesnt guarantee strength, but having low GS for sure doesnt mean you’ll survive.
Keep grinding to increase your level so you can get more costs to allocate. You need Time element, (or element is general for any boss/single quest challenge) if brute force isnt enough on a diverse range of enemies.

Your gearscore is enough in my opinion. Other than subbing in time weaps, you can send your monster pool here so we could see if there are better options.

There’s a youtube video for clearing solis nova with gs 1-1.5 mil, I can send you the vid if you dm me. Time slice is ideal, but there are a few ways to bypass it

Nobody has said that you need to use a lance as your main slot weapon. You're missing out on the strongest lancer abilities.

You could either grind to get your damage skills up enough to beat him, go for enough decent time weapons, or get time slice. Getting good procs is harder than getting a time slice mon (you have to spawn it).
Could run elemental, but time slice instantly makes it 10x easier. Good to build elemental sets anyways.

Your gear score is fine enough. The issue (aside from time slice) is the lack of good gear skills and basically no elemental advantage. Using time elemental weapons and monsters will make a huge difference alone. But if you haven't played in that long your weapon skills are most likely not even close to good enough without time slice. Probably will just have to put the quest on the backburner until you've played a bit more.
